| DEATH BY CHOCOLATE; February 1996. Front cover illustrated in winter 1995; colored pencil and ink. Produced toward the end of the paper mark-up era, the graphic appeared on an individual sheet of illustration board. The typography was on a second board, accompanied by CMYK instructions to the printer with regard to color separations (ah, the good old days). I can't recall if the single image design was influenced by David Lapham's STRAY BULLETS, but it's quite possible. This is 1 of 6 tales appearing in Top Shelf's REDUX collection. DY |
