This is a short outfit that I made from a vintage pattern from the 1950s. It is
made from a vintage chenille bedspread fabric that has been hand-dyed red,
and more modern fabric with beach fun on it. The set was washed after it was
made, and the left-over dye washed over the top and ruffle in a very soft pink
color.
This outfit definitely looks like a lazy afternoon on the deck after returning from
the beach to me. Get your little cutie washed up and show off her beach color in
a soft snuggly outfit.
The top is plain in the front, but has been "origami-ed" in the back, and closes
with two retro red buttons. The shorts/bloomers have a silly little pocket on the
leg that has been embroidered with the words "beachin' it." The pocket was
sewed with raw edges so it may fray a bit with wear. :)
Both the top and the bloomers/shorts are fully lined.
Notes:
*Size 2-3; top measures 13" pit to pit and 7" top of neck to waist; shorts
measure 12" seem to seem, and 13" waist to ruffle; because of the hand-dying,
please wash top and bottom together, but separately from your other wash, or
with towels that are dark in color, in cold on gentle for the first few washes.
