ROM: SPACEKNIGHT ART SHOW AND TRIBUTE COMIC

Jason Leivian is the genius behind the ROM: SPACEKNIGHT benefit projects. After seeking art submissions from comic book artists and graphic novelists,
Jason held an art opening at his Portland-based shop, Floating World Comics on On December 6, 2007. The objective was to raise funds toward the care
of Bill Mantlo, who wrote the entire ROM series for Marvel (75 monthly issues and 4 giant-size annuals). More than $600 was raised on the opening night
of the show.

Jason recently posted the original ROM art submissions on e-bay. The auctions have already generated over $3,000, and will likely raise even more before
they close on December 28, 2007.

In 2008, Jason plans to release a rather large ROM-themed art book.

Best of all, the money Jason raises through these endeavors is being donated toward Bill Mantlo's care!

Interpretations of ROM by artists such as Walt Simsonson, Jeffrey Brown, Phil Hester, Fred Hembeck, and Guy Davis are available at the Floating World
site. News of the art book will likely be forthcoming in early 2008.
